Hello again! These past two weeks were pretty eventful for me, but though I didn't make 14 CGs a day, I did complete all the scenes that I wanted to complete in the remaining days of April.
Yesterday, I crushed my previous record of most CGs in a day, completing thirty-five CGs! However, just like the last time I set that record, it wasn't something I can reasonably sustain, as I was working until 1 AM, trying to make up for the days I've missed.
Summit now contains 148 CGs. Mist contains 385 CGs in total. If Summit ends up having a similar number, that means I'm about 38% done with Summit's CGs. I'm pretty confident I'll be able to finish Summit's CGs this month, or at least get very close, as I don't need that much prep work. There aren't that many more environments to model, which is the biggest roadblock to cranking out CGs.
The second biggest roadblock, as I learned these past two weeks, is setting up the shots. Once I actually have those set-ups rendered and ready to be traced and colored, it's pretty straightforward.
Next week is going to be a mix of prep and more CGs. There are two short scenes that I have 70% of the assets for, so I'll be working on finishing those. Then, with whatever time is left, I'll be prepping for a very long scene.
I'm sorry to be so vague — now that I'm onto Summit, I'm no longer able to share images or much detail without getting into big spoilers.
Until next time!
