Catalyst Wake - Update 06



I said last week I'd be making 14 CGs a day — and that's exactly what I've been doing. It's been a lot of work, and I haven't had time to do much else. The upside is that I only need to concentrate on the very small task list of setting up shots/rendering shots/sketching/lineart/color — all of which can be done while listening to music and podcasts.


While creating 14 CGs doesn't take up a whole day, it looms over it, and that's a factor you need to consider whenever you do these kinds of high-output "challenge"-type things.


The good news is, I'm on track to finish this scene on the 10th, just as planned!


However, finalizing these CGs will take the whole rest of the week, because all I've been doing is drawing them. I haven't done post-processing, because I haven't rendered out all the backgrounds yet. I wanted to make sure I had enough time to render out the versions with the 3d character models, so I've skipped that phase for now.


It's going to be fun to implement all 140+ CGs in the game at once! Because I'll need a bit of a break, that's all I'll plan on doing for the final four days of this week.
